Now that the doors at Destiny Allison Fine Art (DAFA) have been open awhile, we’re feeling more firmly planted, and it’s time to bring a particular idea into reality. Part of DAFA’s vision has been to engage the regional artists, patrons, and community at large in an ongoing conversation about that huge and endlessly convoluted subject of art.
We are beginning a series of informal, engaging monthly presentations relating to art’s presence in our lives, the myriad ways in which that presence is perceived and signified, its role in our past, present and future. To begin things, various artists are being invited to discuss their work, what inspires them, and art’s relevancy to them.
Being held in DAFA’s gallery space, the talks’ audience will be limited to 25 people, and advance seat reservations are recommended.
Two weeks after each presentation a more intimate salon will be held, providing an opportunity to further develop in dialog, the ideas generated from each previous talk. Those wishing to participate in a salon evening need to pre-register with DAFA; there will be a limit of 15 people for each salon.
Guest talks are being held on the first Thursday of each month, beginning at 6 pm. Salons are held on the third Thursday of each month, beginning at 6 pm.
